Flatirons, Inc. Mourns the Loss of Past President & C.E.O. Emeritus
Flatirons,
Inc. has been notified of the passing on January 1st, 2021 of Past President
& C.E.O. Emeritus John B. Guyton (JB). A memorial service will not be held
at this time. As an avid mountain climber and downhill skier he requested that
his ashes be spread over the Continental Divide. JB will be greatly missed by
his colleagues as he has been a driving force for Flatirons, Inc. over the
years and created a solid foundation for the company’s growth. He was a mentor
and teacher for many surveyors in Colorado and actively contributed to the
community. He believed in people and in creating opportunity for others.

Over 41 years of professional experience in Surveying and Mapping, former President of the PLSC
Advisor to the Colorado Attorney General's Office regarding questions on standards for registered surveyors and boundary survey law

Contributor to the state licensing examination process for Land Surveyor licensure
Colorado Representative & Board Member, Western Federation of Professional Surveyors
Surveying highest point in North America - Summit of Mount McKinley
